A riverside walk exploring the quiet countryside west of Livingston with views of the Five Sisters Bing & Pentland Hills.
We will follow the River Almond passing the Almond Pools on our way to Easter Breich & return along the Breich Water.
We may be fortunate to see/hear some birdlife along the river & on the pools & spot other wildlife which inhabits the woodland along the route.
Please be aware that the paths are a mixture of surfaced & unsurfaced, some of which can be muddy after rain. The majority of the paths on this route are unlit so please please a headtorch or hand torch with you as the nights are drawing in.
For car sharing please meet at Livingston Railway Station car park (Glasgow side) at 6.30 pm.
The walk will start from the layby on the B7015 Simpson Parkway near where the road goes over the River Almond at 6.45pm.
