via Small Down, Wether Down, Chidden Down and Coombe. Picnic lunch.
We start off by climbing Small Down, along the same initial route that Mike recently took. Then, skirting the sustainability centre, we turn right at Coombe Wood, and pass between Long Down and Chidden Down. We pick up the Monarch's Way for a while before heading for the hamlet of Coombe, then north and East, crossing Halnaker Lane and back to the start.
A few stiles, but too few to mention. Some rough tracks, and quiet road walking.
