Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
We will start this beautiful walk through the Meon Valley, then up onto the South Downs Way, before heading towards Old Winchester Hill for lunch, where we can take in the best views in Hampshire! The walk has just one main ascent up onto the South Downs.
Please bring a picnic lunch. There are no pubs, cafes or toilets en-route, but there is a pub and toilets at the end of the walk for refreshments.
East Meon Village Car Park, next to the Allotments and recreation ground on Workhouse Lane. This free car park is clearly signposted AT THE END of Workhouse Lane. Please Note: this is NOT the Village Hall car park which is 50m up the road. OS Map X132.
