A gentle walk from Pirbright, through Brookwood Military Cemetery and Brookwood Cemetery. We'll walk through the enclosed area of Pirbright Common, a site of Special Scientific Interest and home to ground nesting birds (the nightjars will have flown off to Africa but the Dartford warblers may be around if we're lucky). The dwarf gorse will be out in bloom. We'll walk back through the paupers' section of the cemetery and back to Pirbright Common. We may see some Icelandic ponies en route.
We can stop for a coffee at the Yurt Cafe at the end of the walk.
