Overview

This circular walk climbs from the quaint village of Whitchurch-on-Thames to Whitchurch Hill then across Chiltern farmland and woodland with open views of the Thames Valley.Grazing animals include llamas and alpacas.  We start at the recently re-opened P.H., The Ferryboat RG8 7DB

The climb is steady, on pavements and across fields. Access to the start point from Pangbourne involves crossing a toll bridge. Toll 60p. The pub car park is small, additional parking is opposite in The Stables.  Non-diners, there are public car parks before you cross the bridge. The menu is good value. Order on the day.
