An interesting walk, mainly on quiet lanes and byways, Starting from the White Hart at Tongham. the walk follows the old railway track and then byways around ash and Christmas pie, crossing nature reserves and woodlands. There are three stiles, a pedestrian railway crossing and some mud.
IF you are not intending to stay for lunch please park on the roads behind the pub, as there are limited space in the car park. Alternatively, if you want a shorter walk (approx 4 1/2 miles) you could park at Ash Green Meadows carpark (South Lane, Ash, nearest postcode GU12 6NG. Grid reference SU 89512 49803.
