A nice walk from Wadworth through Edlington woods onto the pit top and back. No road walking to speak on, mainly decent trail paths. Some gentle slopes but nothing too strenuous. No stiles and is dog friendly. Coffee stop at the cairn on the pit top, after about 3 miles. Pub stop at the end is available.

Park in Wadworth on Wadworth Hall Lane. Right turn off Church Road. Behind the church.
