Overview

This is an 11.5 mile route that uses paths over farmland and through orchards. It also follows sections of the Greensand Way and Stour Valley Walk.

We set off on the former of the two named routes, making progress to Pluckley via Elvey Farm. Our route  goes to Rooting Manor to then turn northwards to the home of Darling Buds of May author, HE Bates at Little Chart. Hopefully the conditions will be therefore be "perfick" for lunch, followed by drinks stop at the Swan.

Now on the Stour Valley Walk, we pass the ruined St Mary's church, which was destroyed by a doodlebug during the second World War. Striding out to Stonebridge Green, we can enjoy some far reaching views of the Kent Weald, before the completion of this excellent circuit.
