Overview

A brisk venture across the arable farmland of East Anglia. We head westwards from Elsenham along the Harcamlow Way, cross the border from Essex into Hertfordshire, and head north to Furneux Pelham. Carrying on northwards, we reach its sister village Brent Pelham, where we head back eastwards into Essex, and eventually rejoin the Harcamlow Way into Newport.

Not especially hilly, but lengthy nonetheless, with a fast pace throughout. I hope to be finished by dusk but please bring a torch just in case.

Please bring a packed lunch. Pub stop at the end (and possibly along the way, depending on progress).

Travel: Take 9:28 from Liverpool Street (9:40 Tottenham Hale), arr. 10:21 Elsenham. Buy a return to Newport.
