A brisk walk through the lush countryside of the very north western tip of Kent (and briefly crossing into Surrey). Bring a packed lunch. The lunch stop will be at around 9 miles distance at the pleasant town of Westerham where there is a good selection of pubs and cafes (for drinks and light bites only - but the length of the lunch stop will be sufficiently generous). While certainly not a hilly walk, it does climb the greensand ridge a couple of times (either side of the lunch break), which makes up almost all of the total ascent of 550 metres - the final 5 miles are almost completely flat. Pub at the end of the walk.
Travel: Take the 10:07 from London Bridge (10:22 East Croydon), arrive 10:45 Edenbridge Town Station.
For those travelling from Kent, Surrey, or East Sussex - there is a way to avoid travelling via London (which will also be cheaper); from Kent take the 10:01 from Tonbridge (arrives at Edenbridge Station at 10:16) and from Surrey it is the 10:00 from Redhill (arrives at Edenbridge Station at 10:16); it is then just under a mile walk from 'Edenbridge' Station to to 'Edenbridge Town' Station.
The Meeting point for the start of the walk is just outside the entrance of Edenbridge Town Railway Station.
