This walk takes in lovely views of the Darent Valley (without too much effort!); Otford with its scale model of the solar system and the Tudor Archbishop's Palace; the pretty village of Shoreham; Eynsford Lavender Fields; Lullingstone Park and Castle; and the Eynsford viaduct.
We'll be stopping for lunch at Otford where there are pub and tea room options but bring a packed lunch as there won't be time to order a meal.
Quiz question: can you spot Britain's smallest listed building? We'll visit Castle Farm in the afternoon where there's optional lavender ice cream for the brave and foolhardy. Towards the end of the walk there are options to leave the group to visit Eynford Castle to see the World Garden or the Lullingstone Roman Villa (it's an easy stroll back to Eynsford from both - just let the leader know if you are doing this). We'll finish the walk at the Malt Shovel pub, a five-minute walk from Eynsford Station.
