We are the Bury St Edmunds Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Meet outside Ely Railway Station for a varied circular walk via the Cathedral area, Ely Common and Queen Adelaide, returning alongside the river. There are plenty of opportunities for refreshments after the walk.
Train times from Thetford are 09.06 or 09.24, the journey takes 25 minutes. Free parking can be found in Wilko's car park near the bus station, local knowledge or paid parking at the station. The only possible train from Bury is the 08.58 with a change at Cambridge and arrives at 10.14. Please inform the leader if you intend to take this train so we can wait for you.
