B WALK DESCRIPTION: 9 miles circular (6 miles morning, 3 miles afternoon). From Enville village, the walk starts through the grounds of Enville Hall, passing a cricket field. At one point there is a picturesque view of the Hall from across an ornamental lake. A short steep climb brings us to the top of The Sheepwalks, where marvellous views can be appreciated. Despite the beauties of the landscape, it is unlikely that many other walkers will be encountered. We then continue through quiet lanes and field paths to the woods at the foot of Kinver Edge. A gently inclined path takes us to the hillfort at the summit. Again the views are splendid, but here there will be more people enjoying them. The descent is steeper than the ascent. We proceed to the village of Kinver, where there is picnic area, and next to it the Plough and Harrow pub offers Bathams ales and hot sandwiches. The are several cafes nearby in the High Street. The return route follows the Staffordshire Way, largely through land belonging to the Enville Estate. The fare is £15.
