Overview

Please drive through the main gates, immediately take the right fork and park on the grass by the pay hut straight ahead. The walk will be led by Edward Wortley who is the estate archivist and has permission to take us on many parts of the estate not usually accessible to the public.

The walk will include a Stone Age replica settlement where we will have our halfway break and maybe see what is going on there and a high profile Paleolithic excavation site run by the British Museum. Unfortunately the 2025 dig will have finished by the time of the walk.

Most paths are good but there are a couple of rough grassy areas.
