Overview

The walk includes open moorland, riverside and woodland walking. There are some lengthy ascents and muddy sections. From Hathersage we go to Leadmill and climb up to Eyam Moor, then descend past Mompesson's Well to Eyam. We turn by Eyam Church and climb out of Eyam, passing Ladywash Mine. After crossing Sir William Hill Road, we descend to Stoke Ford and Abney. We then cross Offerton Moor to reach Offerton Hall and walk back along the Derwent. No dogs as there may be livestock.

9.14 train from Sheffield Station to Hathersage. The Leader will join the train at Dore and Totley Station. There is road parking and a Pay and Display car park in Hathersage. Toilets and cafes in Hathersage, but no toilets on route.
