This walk starts from Fridaythorpe Village Pond and is part of the " Walking East Yorkshire Festival. If you are a member of The Ramblers just turn up as usual.If not ,alternative arrangements will be announced later.
Starting from the village pond we head to the top of tranquil Holm Dale and proceed to Wold House Farm.Taking care walking through the working farm, we next encounter scenic Horse Dale and join part of the Yorkshire Wolds Way near Glebe Farm From here our next call is the outskirts of the high village of Huggate. Cow dale and Horse Dale next come into view.It is here many poems are written on a bench overlooking unrivalled view of the dale.Moving on we head back to the tranquil valley of Holm Dale and arrive back at the village of Fridaythorpe.
🥾 This walk offers stunning views of the Yorkshire Wolds and is hilly.The walk is set in attractive, unspoilt countryside and has many scenic views. It also offers an opportunity to walk in unique secluded chalkland valleys.
Not considered suitable for dogs as cattle were encountered in fields during recce 6/5/25.
🚘 Please park on one side of the road only (furthest from the pond) to allow farm vehicles to pass.
