Overview

This popular circular walk begins at the peaceful Kiplingcotes former railway station.

Walking down an old railway track, now part of The Wilberforce Way, we walk by the  Yorkshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve know  as 'Kiplingcotes Chalk Pit', noted for large varieties of butterflies and orchids in the summer.

Heading towards quiet Goodmanham Dale, a scenic dry chalk valley, we walk part of the Yorkshire Wolds and Hudson Way and proceed to Arras Cottages. Walking down  secluded Kiplingcotes Lane we head back to the cars.
