Overview

This pleasant walk begins at Crook Plantation. This can be found on the Sledmere  to Kirby  Grindalythe Road going down Kirby Lane  from Sledmere. . The walk has to offer attractive rolling countryside in a quiet part of the Yorkshire Wolds. From the start  we take a track by the side of Crook Plantation before descending down to the pretty village of Kirby Grindalythe. The village lies in the great Wold valley and the course of the Gypsey Race passes through it.Leaving  the village, we follow the course of the Gypsey Race towards West Lutton. Skirting West Lutton we climb up Sheepwalk Lane to Thirkleby Wold and pass Kirby Plantation back to our starting position.
