This attractive South Ferriby walk starts at the South Ferriby Vikings Bowls Club car park. They have kindly agreed to let us use it.
We make our way towards the river Humber along a quiet track , turning onto the Humber Bank. We then walk back towards South Ferriby, and then up the hill and along The Viking Way.
We walk along the ridge and eventually we make our way down the hill towards the historic Horkstow village church, Saxby All Saints .(see photo). We make our way towards Horkstow Bridge. The Bridge is a fine example of an early chain link suspension bridge built in 1836 (see photo).
We then make our way towards Ferriby Sluice along the edge of the River Ancholme. We the walk back towards the car park.
