Overview

We meet in the grounds of Risby Park Fishing Ponds, and Folly Lake Cafe. Please meet in the top car park ,nearest to the entrance

The walk is mostly pastoral, full of open spaces. It is hilly in parts and there are historical references.

Walking down Dunflat Road, for a short distance, we take the track to Skidby. From here we head to Skidby Windmill and historic Gallows Hill. Sheep rustlers would need to avoid this place between 1660 and 1685.Walking safely by Gallows Hill,we head back to Skidby. From here we join part of the Beverley 20 and High Hunsley Circuit. Walking into Risby Park we enter a nature reserve that includes Silver Fir and Sodwall Plantation. Walking by Hornsea Belts we encounter Low Daw Hill, FishPond Wood and back to the cars.
