There will be 2 walks a short 4 mile and a longer 7.5 mile.
Please let us know if you wish to do the short or long walk so we can arrange the cars accordingly.
All meet at MIBC at 9.30 or New Lanark Carpark ML11 9DH at 10.30.
Long Walk. Moderate 7.5 miles same as short walk till we reach Bonninton Weir, then we will continue along the north side of the Clyde valley taking in the ruins of Corra Linn Castle (Blink and you'll miss them!) and some stunning views of the falls. Cross the Clyde at Riverside Road and take in Castlebank Gardens and return to the Visitor Centre.
The north bank of the Clyde river walk is more challenging with many short sharp inclines (total ascent is 800 ft) and declines, some fallen trees to navigate and quite a few steps in parts.
Approx return time to Visitor Centre 2.00/2.30

Meet at Midlothian Indoor Bowling Club car park (EH22 1JD) for 9.30am for car share, or at New Lanark Car Park (ML11 9DH) for 10.30am to start the walk.
Car Parking charge is £3.00 per car and can be paid by card.
