A walk to enjoy the Spring blossom and flowers, a mix of town and countryside. Starting at Riverside carpark, we’ll walk into Farnham Park and head towards the Shepherd and Flock where we’ll pass historic buildings over to Runfold. Passing the Princess Royal pub, we’ll join an undulating path that takes us through open fields and Runfold nature reserve to the N Downs Way. A half mile stretch is on the quiet Compton Way road, home to Farnham’s mansions. We’ll then rejoin the N Downs Way parallel to the River Way back to Farnham’s Borelli Walk to the carpark.
Park in Riverside carpark 2 or 3 (left just before leisure centre, left again into Mike Hawthorn Way). Free parking on Sundays. No stiles but two short steep descents. Undulating paths across Runfold fields. Pace will be moderate so reasonable speed and fitness required. Bring water and snacks to last the 3 hour walk. No toilets on route except for pubs. Well behaved dogs welcome, on leads in sections due to livestock.
