From the starting point we head north and pass a medieval. Church, then on through woodland to Ackton passing a fishing lake. Then across fields and a disused railway line to Old Snydale. We then alternate between old and new infrastructure until we reach North Featherstone and lunch. Then onwards via fields, Park and Racecourse to Tanshelf Pontefract. We then return on Halfpenny Lane to our starting point. I will be able to tell and show you how the topography of the route has changed over the last 50 years.
