A beautiful walk in one of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's reserves close to the A1. This site is renowned for it's amazing abundance of flowers and butterflies.
Things to be aware of:
most paths are narrow, sloping, exposed tree roots, overhanging branches, stony - care and attention needed at all times. There will be stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos. About 10 minutes into the walk there is a steep, stepped ascent, undulating for the rest of the walk. 2 stiles near the end.
Lunch stop will be in the community garden by Kirk Smeaton church, there are no facilities on the route.
