Overview

Exploring the wide open spaces of Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield mosses National Nature Reserve, on both sides of the border. Our route will be flat and is likely to be squelchy in some places, waterproof boots recommended. From Morris’ bridge we will cross Whixall and Fenn’s mosses on the trails and visit the viewing tower. Then we will join the old tramway to Bettisfield, circumnavigate Bettisfield Moss and return via a short section of the Ellesmere canal (Prees branch).
