For control and safety reasons, this walk is limited to Huntingdonshire Ramblers members only.
A linear walk from Finsbury Park Station to Alexandra Palace Station. The route takes us through Finsbury Park, and then east besides reservoirs and rivers back to the Park. From there we join the Parklands Walk, a re-purposed railway track all the way to woods in Highgate. We then continue to Alexandra Palace Station and a train back to Finsbury Park.
There are good paths, mainly away from traffic. Once on the Parkland Walk, there is a steady climb to the Palace, with brief sections which are steep. There are good views over London towards the end of the walk. There are cafes and toilet facilities along the way.
8.59 am train from Huntingdon eta 09.55 am. Frequent service from Alexandra Palace back to Finsbury Park. Return trains from Finsbury Park run at 19 minutes past the hour.
If this walk cannot take place (e.g. due to rail engineering works), an alternative walk will be notified.
