We are the Stockport Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
5.5 mile walk through five Dales (Tideswell, Litton, Tansley, Cressbrook and Millers), starting in Litton. There is an optional pub lunch at Red Lion Pub, Litton after the walk.
This is a lovely walk and worth the trip out.
Walk starts from Litton Village (this is a change to what was previously stated)
Please inform the walk leader in advance if you intend to have the pub lunch as we may need to pay a deposit and order food in advance depending upon numbers. (Sarah Hubbold 07906 570 866).
Please note that It is 'Litton Night', part of their Wakes celebrations, on the day of our walk- a good opportunity to extend your day out (well-dressing, maypole dancing, competitions, bands,etc) - but please be considerate about the preparations going on in the village when arriving to park on the streets. Roads close at 5pm so there will be special parking available in a field at each end of the village all day. There are a number of pubs and cafes in the area."
Car sharing recommended. Sarah is able to take 2 or 3 people from the Cheadle Hulme area.
