We are the Doncaster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This an easy walk of about 9 miles or so with a possible pub stop, to be confirmed. There is only one hill of any note, up through Cusworth Park and that is quite easy. The rest is on good paths, including parts of the Trans Pennine Trail and the Roman Ridge. There are no toilets at the start, but we will make a brief stop in Cusworth Park after 20mins or so to use the facilities there and also hopefully at the proposed pub stop at lunch time.
Meet in the car park on Anchorage Lane at Sprotbrough. next to the scout hut. After going over the north bridge out of town, turn left at the traffic lights signposted to Sprotbrough then take the 4th road on the right, opposite C H Middletons yard, into Anchorage Lane and the car park is 200yds on the right hand side.
