We are the Kingswood Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Pleasant walk through fields , woods, along the River Frome and some road.
Can be muddy and slippery by the river after heavy rain so maybe bring walking poles.
We can drive the short distance to The Globe (BS36 2AB) for a drink after the walk.
Remember that the Badminton Road junction from the Ring Road is closed so an alternative route will be necessary. I have researched the best way to avoid the traffic queues and have found this route by far the quickest with no hold ups and no queues.
Take the ring road along to the big Hambrook/M32 roundabout, go right around the roundabout and come back on yourself to turn left towards Hambrook/Winterbourne. Follow this road (B4058) through Winterbourne and keep going until you come to the BP garage on the right. Turn right here (Church Road) and follow this road until you see the Globe and the church on the left. Turn right straight after the church and follow the road around to the right (Park Lane) for a short way. The Live and Let Live is on the left.
Parking: Near the currently closed pub the Live and Let Live, Clyde Rd, Frampton Cotterell, Bristol BS36 2EF. Park on roadside in Park Lane or Clyde Road.
