Overview

The coach picks up first at Newton Heath at 8.30 am (bus stop on Oldham Rd close to the junction of Dean Lane and Old Church St).  It then travels to Chorlton Street where it will leave at 8.50 am prompt, with further pick ups in Sedgley Park at 09.10 and Prestwich at 09.15.  Toilet stop at Skipton  (NB: Timings  for pick-up points are approximate - please be at the pick-up point in good time) 

 

Three led walks: 

Long walk (long rather than strenuous) 13½ miles Mary C
Linear from Thornton in Craven, Langbor Hill, Williamson Bridge, Trenet Laithe, Bank Newton, Moorber Bottom, Garres Hill, Gill Syke, Bell Busk, Kirksyke Lane, Town End Farm, Airton, Newfield Bridge, Eshton Moor, Haw Crag, Harrows Laithe, Gargrave. Total ascent 1154ft, highest point 674ft.

 

Medium Walk / Moderate 9½ miles. Brian
Circular from Gargrave. Pennine Way, Scaleber, Trenet Laithe, East Marton, Ingthorpe Lane, Brightenburg, Pot Haw Farm, Coniston Cold, Great Haw.
Total ascent 955 ft. Waterproof winter boots needed.

 

Short Walk Easy/ Moderate 7 miles Frank 
Circular from Gargrave. Pennine Way, Harrows Hill, Eshton Moor, Newfield Bridge, Kirksyke Lane, Bell Busk, Mark House Lane, Gargrave

 

 

The coach will leave Gargrave at 5.30 p.m.

The ground may be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a change of shoes, boot covers or something to clean your boots before getting back on the coach.
