Meet at 10 a.m. at Headley Village Stores & Tearoom (next to The Cock Inn pub) (Explorer 146/206548 KT18 6LD). Park behind the Stores, or in pub car park (upper back level) if opting to have lunch there. Toilets available in Village Hall next door. Walk will finish here for late lunch (pub, tearooms or picnic). This is an undulating, circular walk, with good views of countryside & the racecourse stands, & a steady climb back up to the church. Mid-morning stop at Tattenham Corner (BYO refreshments or The Downs Lunchbox Cafe). Be prepared for some muddy sections & two stiles near the end. Poles recommended. (For those who may have done this walk before, it will be run in the reverse direction.)
