We are the Cardiff Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A linear walk hugging the coast between Bridgend and Llantwit Major, including lovely sea views and the spectacular geological formations of the coastal cliffs. It's a long trek, but worth the effort.
Hopefully the weather will be warm and dry (!). The walk is exposed, so come prepared with sun-cream, sunhat, sufficient food and extra water. We may paddle and/or walk along the beach for a while, tide-permitting.
Please carry next of kin information and let the walk leader know if you are coming.
We will travel by train to Bridgend and return from Llantwit Major. The train leaves Cardiff Central at 08.47 (probably from platform 4A, but PLEASE CHECK on the day) and arrives in Bridgend at 09.06. Please meet on the platform in Cardiff in good time, and wait at Bridgend Station exit for the walk to start at 09.10.
Local Grade: A : the walk is long and exposed, although only about 250m ascent
