Much of Glasgow’s history can be observed through its distinct and much-loved architecture, which ranges from the outstanding Kelvingrove Art Gallery to the landmark Finnieston Crane. Many of these wonderful buildings are visited on a route that travels along Glasgow’s historic streets and through a number of its finest green spaces.
The route is 7.5 miles (less than originally advertised) and is mainly flat utilising footpaths along some busy streets as well as paved footpaths through parks and gardens and along the River Clyde. Trainers may be preferred to walking Boots.
I plan to stop at a café for coffee enroute but please also bring a packed lunch which can be enjoyed in the Botanic Gardens.
