This is a perfect summer walk when the formal and wild flowers are bursting with colour. It is just under 9 miles, B grade, moderate walk. Heading out from Largs, it takes in Gogo Glen and Noddsdale Glen. It is very peaceful and quiet with some stunning views over Largs (but from a different perspective), Cumbrae and Arran. The walk is accessible for rail users.
Waterproof boots are a good idea and gaiters are highly recommended. Poles are useful if you use them.
We’ll have our first stop at Greeto Bridge then lunch beyond Noddsdale Burn.
Please advise Gemma if you plan to:
- travel by train
- meet at Morrison's, Stevenston car park to car share
- drive directly to Largs
Those travelling by car to meet at the start of the walk in Largs, need to be at the start point on Aubery Crescent for a 09.30 start.
If travelling by train, please plan your journey to meet the walk as it passes the station at 9.50am. The other walkers will meet you on the pavement outside the station.
Although no stiles, there are two fences to negotiate.
