WALK:   From The Beacon Hub we walk down past the Railway Station, then through Birkenside Park, Coffee stop here, cross park and go down steps into woodland passing the Gunpowder Factory remains, careful here.   Turn left and walk through the woodland with river on our right until we reach Shank Bridge, walk along A7 for a very short way, then go over the barrier and down into Gore Glen.  We walk alongside the river for about a mile until we reach Trotters Bridge, then up under the railway bridge, turn right and up to cross over the A7 again, turn right, and walk a short distance then we can either go through the pend turning right through housing development or continue until we reach Engine Road, walking uphill till about half way, then turn right along a tarmac back path for about a mile, until you come to the park, we turn into the park and walk up the Nancy Teuch pathway until you reach the main Hunterston Road in Gorebridge.
