Overview

Circular led by Jane R (Mobile No: 07906 987503 - texts preferred). An undulating walk on a more wooded part of the Berkshire Downs. We cross the Thames to Streatley then follow a short section of the Ridgeway before heading southwest to Aldworth for our lunch stop at the unspoilt ‘The Bell Inn’ (or picnic on adjoining cricket ground). Then southeast to Ashampstead, before turning northeast past Stichens Green followed by a steep climb to a rewarding view of the Thames before descending to Streatley and re-crossing the Thames. Map: E170/159, L174.
