Overview

We head down the common and turn up through some houses and then across fields towards Hampden Church before turning back towards the pub. We then go across the common through Monkton wood. We stop for lunch on some fallen tree trunks and then continue along Kiln lane. Towards the end of the lane we turn up along the Chiltern way for a steady climb along grims ditch and on to Redland End. The Chiltern way continues and eventually we head in an easterly direction across to pass Hampden house. At the church we turn down past the pond and back in Great Hampden once again.

The way may be very muddy in some parts if there has been further rain.

Bring a packed lunch.

Refreshments are available at the Hampden Arms PH.

Well behaved dogs are allowed.
