Overview

Starting from the Clifford Arms in Great Haywood we head for the old quarry works known as Haywood Caves. We than take a stretch of the Trent & Mersey Canal before joining the River Sow. A meander through part of Shugborough Estate and possibly another stretch of the River Sow & the Trent & Mersey, bring us back to The Clifford.

The walk is followed by Mid Staffs AGM at Clifford Arms Hotel, Great Haywood, where some light refreshments will be provided.
