We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Although a familiar area, the wildlife created by the heathland and gorse combined with the site’s history, will always make this a fascinating place to visit. This walk will be in a figure of 8 style and will encompass parts of the woodland trail and the GAMA trail (we will walk around the GAMA perimeter). This will be a largely flat walk and given the layout of the paths we should be able to avoid flooded areas. Parts of this walk, particular along with the woodland trail are likely to be muddy.
Please ensure you have the right footwear and clothing for a muddy walk and please bring a snack and drink for a short break. As it will be close to Christmas, I hope to bring homemade mince pies!
There will be grazing cows throughout the common.
Due to car park size, this walk is limited to 12 people. Please book online by 6pm on 5th December.
Old Thornfolrd Road Carpark, Thatcham, RG19 8EJ. In addition, it might be possible to park at the far end of Old Thornford Road.
