We start the walk from Drumfrochar train station and initially walk on tarmac, past the Overtoun car park after which we enter Greenock Cut.
The path runs parallel to Greenock/Gourock, following an aqueduct. It then turns south east in a more inland direction and leads to the Greenock Cut Visitor centre where there is seating for a lunch break outdoors and a cafe where refreshments can be bought. There are also toilet facilities there.
Continuing onto Kelly Cut, the terrain is broadly the same but the path is not as well maintained and there are areas with large puddles to jump over so in any case a high chance of getting the boots wet.
Toilet facilities also available at Wemyss Bay train station.
This is a linear walk beginning at Drumfrochar Rail Station and ending at Wemyss Bay Rail Station. Remember to bring payment and travel passes.
If you wish to attend this walk please contact the walk leader, Krysztof by email or text.
