Overview

Moderate walk along part of the river Wey before ascending to St Martha’s church (panoramic views on a clear day). Continuing along part of the North Downs way with another steady ascent to Newlands Corner for a café/picnic lunch (toilets). Return along Merrow and Pewley Downs, affording more great views, before descending along residential roads to Guildford town centre and returning to the station. Undulating, varied paths through woodland, open areas and rough, stony tracks. Possibility of muddy sections following wet weather. Walking shoes/boots required. Finish circa: 15:30h
