Overview

From the car park we walk along footpath eventually climbing the hill leading to the  Castle. (which features in a painting by  JMW Turner). From here there are views over Canvey Island and the Thames Estuary. We return to the car park along the sea wall, passing Two Tree Island.

The start location can be accessed from Leigh on Sea railway Station. Followed by a 10-15 minute walk along the sea wall.  This walk can be slippery after rain when walking boots may be advisable. Bring a drink and snack if you wish as we will have a short break at the Castle. New walkers are very welcome.
