The walk starts along the riverside on field tracks towards Nisbet. Thereafter a half mile on a quiet stretch of road. We do an uphill climb along a Beech tree avenue through woodland paths and open hillside, leading to the Waterloo Monument. Returning on a quiet stretch of road leading to the Abbey’s Way track back to start. Splendid views on a good day.

Will be wet and muddy in places. Walking poles advised along with sturdy boots.
