We are the Sutton Coldfield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A moderate walk of around 8.5 miles. Starting from the Country Park, we follow the ridge before descending through attractive woodland on the Quarryman's walk to join the Coventry Canal towpath. We then walk through the undulating Atherstone golf course and Monks Park Wood for lunch stop at the White Hart pub, Ridge Lane. At Birchley Heath, we join the Centenary Way across fields to return to the Country Park.
The walk is on generally good paths, but with steep steps and some uneven woodland tracks en route.

Meet at Wyndlley Swimming Pool car park 08:45 for car sharing. Directions to Hartshill Hayes Country Park: Take A452 Chester Road towards Castle Bromwich. At Castle Bromwich interchange, take second exit to stay on A452. At roundabout, take first exit onto B4114. After about 5 miles, turn right onto Nuneaton Road B4114 and continue for 4 miles. Turn left onto Piper's Lane. Turn right onto Oldbury Road. Car parking is £3.30 for the day. CARD ONLY.
