Overview

9.14 train from Sheffield to Hathersage. We walk alongside the River Derwent and up to Padley Chapel, then walk up Padley Gorge to Burbage bridge.  We cross Carl Wark and Higger Tor, before climbing on to Stanage Edge. This is the end of the climbing. We then gradually descend back to Hathersage passing Green's House. There is some scrambling to get on to Higger Tor. No dogs please as there is livestock.
