The walk starts at the Manifold Valley Information Centre at Hume End. From here we will go via Hayes to ascend Revidge for views across the Manifold valley. We will then go across the valley via Butterton to Wetton. There is then an ascent to Ecton Hill for further lovely views. We finish with a steep descent to the Manifold trail passing Ecton Copper Mine.
The walk goes through rough farming land and some paths are shared with cows and Land Rover trials so can be muddy in wet weather. There are ups and downs on the route and one steep descent.
This is a car ramble so we will meet to share cars 08.50 at Ecclesall Road South by Knowle Lane/ Millhouses Lane. We will leave for Hume End at 09.00
Buses: From Arundel Gate the 218 and 272 bus depart at 08.30 to arrive Millhouses Lane at 08.48 and 08.49. From Arundel Gate the 81 departs 08.31 to arrive 08.53
There is pay parking at the Information Point at Hume End.
