This is a coach walk.
The coach starts from Nottinghamshire County Hall, Loughborough Road, Nottingham NG2 7QP at 9.15am and Maid Marian Way (outside Tesco) at 9.30am

There will be a choice of three walks of varying distance to suit most abilities
A Grade 'A' hard walk of 8-10 miles, possibly with more difficult conditions, a grade 'B' moderate walk of 6-8 miles and a grade 'C' easy walk of 4-6 miles

A WALK - Leader: Andy Irvine - 11.5 miles
Route: Leadmill Bridge, Hazelford Hall, Leam Farm, Eyam Moor Stone Circle and Barrow, Eyam Moor Trig Point, pub stop Barrel Inn, Shangri la Cottage, Salt's Farm, Abney, Offerton Moor, Offerton Hall, Callow Wood, Mount Pleasant. Hathersage
Terrain: one long climb, one short climb
B WALK - Leader: Nick Debenham - 7.9 miles
Route: This walk is around 7.9 miles, and with ascents of 300 m, most of which occur in the first 3 miles
We begin by walking down the road to Leadmill Bridge and then for a short way along the south bank of the River Derwent
Our path then climbs to Mount Pleasant and Callow Farm, before leveling out to reach Offerton Hall
A major ascent takes us to Offerton Edge from where the path leads us across the plateau to Smelting Hill
Skirting the side of Abney Moor we reach Shatton Lane which takes a contouring loop around the high ground before dropping to a lower level
A bridleway then brings us back to Offerton Hall from where we can descend to the River Derwent and return to Leadmill Bridge via the riverside path.
C WALK - Leader: Nick Fox - 6 miles
Route: Hathersage, Bronte Cottage, North Lees, Moorseats Wood, Hathersage
Terrain: Moderate.
Cafe and pub stop in Hathersage at the end of the walk
Toilets at North Lees and Hathersage.

Please sign up at least three days prior to the date of walk. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place. Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as we will have to turn you away.

Cancellations received BEFORE 8pm the Thursday preceding the Sunday Coach - NO CHARGE.
Cancellations received after 8pm on the Thursday preceding the Sunday coach will INCUR A £5 CHARGE.
