A circular walk starting from the Hawkley Inn, the route takes you through the Beeches, climbing the Mabbots Here and following the sunken track called Standfast Lane bringing you to Hawkley Hurst. The route then goes via Vann farm and Hawkley Hangers to return to Hawkley village. The route is hilly in places but does not have any steep climbs. Some areas are very muddy but are passable with care. Some muddy areas are on uphill/downhill sections. There are a total of six stiles and no animals were in any of the fields during the recce. Poles would be useful for sections of the walk. Two dogs managed the walk with no issues at any of the stiles.
