Join Helen on her farewell walk lead before she leaves for the Welsh Valleys. From Ticknall village car park, through the Lime Yards, across fields with fine views of Staunton Reservoir and onto the edge of Calke. Around the outskirts of the grounds before passing over the Weir and past the remains of Calke Village. The walk then heads to the Ridgeway before entering woodland and descending into Staunton Harold grounds where lunch will be taken at the Stables Courtyard. Continuing on through Dimingsdale Nature Reserve back into Calke and following the Tramway Trail back to Ticknall.

Staunton Harold boasts a large reservoir, historic church, Chapel of the Holy Trinity, nursery and many walking trails. Staunton Harold Hall has been used for many things over the years but is now a private residence. Calke Abbey stands on the site of a medieval religious house and was first inhabited in the 12th century. It is now a National Trust site and covers an area of 600 acres of parkland, gardens, ancient oaks and a deer park. Dimingsdale Nature Reserve covers 6.5 hectares and owned by Severn Trent Water.
