The bus to Driffield is due to leave Burton Agnes at 0941 so make sure to leave plenty of time to find a parking space and get to the bus stop. A single fare is £2. When we arrive in Driffield there will be the opportunity to visit the nearby toilet facilities. Parking is on street so please park with consideration of local residents.
The walk officially starts by the canal head, however we will have walked half a mile down the main street up to this point.
Although the walk is part of the East Riding Heritage Way, it does miss out a portion of the route at the beginning as it would require walking along a busy road. Instead of walking along the canal then onto the B1249 to Wansford, we will take a shorter route to Nafferton where the route joins back onto the Heritage Way.
Lunch will be about half way by the church in Lowthorpe. Bring sandwiches and something to sit on. After lunch, we continue onto Harpham, passing St John's Well before returning to Burton Agnes. The walk is flat on mostly good paths.
After the walk, there is the option of driving to a nearby cafe at Eastfield Garden Centre for cake and a drink.
Dogs are welcome but must be on leads.
